Why
Come and explore the rugged beauty of the Mendocino coast where the Redwoods meet the Pacific.
Spend 4 days hiking beside rushing streams, cascading waterfalls and gigantic Redwood and Oak
forests. Explore the Pigmy forest and the three marine wave cut terraces on the Jughandle
Preserve Ecological Staircase. Experience the splendor of the sunset and the crashing waves
from your deck at the Little River Inn. Walk to the beach or Van Damm State Park. Explore
the quaint town and stroll along the headlands surrounding it. Alternative to hiking could
be the Botanical Gardens that end at the beach in Fort Bragg. Also ride the
Skunk Train! Walk for miles beside the Big River on the old "haul" road.
